Dawn of the Jungle (Print)

from $150.00

This is a 24x18 inch art print. The print makes it perfect for both home and office wall decor. Option to frame.

Dawn of the Jungle is the first painting in my diptych series inspired by my Filipino heritage. This is my representation of a morning in jungle in the Philippines, which face dangers of deforestation. There are many endangered species that inhabit these jungles and two are represented in my work. The Philippine Eagle is known to be a mighty predator that is fierce enough to eat monkeys and is displayed soaring through the sky of this painting. The second painting features the eagle’s prey, a long-tailed macaque monkey, that is sitting on top of a tree. These works allowed me to explore personal heritage and environmental issues.
