Night of the Blood Moon was inspired by the total lunar eclipse in November 2022. I have always been rather fascinated by astronomy and celestial events. During the event of a blood moon, the moon appears bright red in color but imagine if it was pink instead. In the rock formation of this painting, I incorporated a stone in the shape of a face, under the light of this phenomenon. This piece is a tribute to my fascination for one of my favorite phases of the moon and the mystical effects it brings to those who see it.
