Pink Waves (Painting)
This work is 30x24 inch acrylic painting on canvas and created late 2022.
Pink Waves was inspired by the river that flows through my hometown in West Virginia and the day I met my significant other there. Three years ago, when I met my partner, we watched the sunset over the river. The sky burned bright orange until fading into peachy pinks and the clouds turned into several shades of magenta. I remembered these colors reflecting on the waters and the mountains beyond the river, creating a scene that is still one of the best eye-witnessing experiences I have ever encountered. This piece is a representation of that special evening.
